Our friends Phil and Marissa are having a baby boy very soon so I wanted to make them a quilt to welcome him home.

It is a more sophisticated take on a baby quilt, I guess, because its not very “baby-ish” but its still cute and whimsical.

I used the lemon fabric for the back. I love these little lemons.

And this is what Im wearing to a bonfire party in December?! A jean jacket and skirt? It is so warm here its ridiculous. Im going to have a very rude awakening when I go overseas.

ear-flap hat

My ear-flap hat is done! It is so warm and fuzzy, I used Blue Sky Alpaca Bulky and this yarn is beautiful. It was a little cold today so I didnt feel crazy wearing it. The weather has been so warm lately I havent been able to wear any of my cold weather knits. Its definitely going to be cold in Paris though.
